A benign proliferative disorder characterized by fascial nodules and contractures of the hand
Patients come for decreased ROM and pain over nodules
more frequent and more severe in men
location : ring > small > middle > index
Treatment
Range of motion exercises
injection of Clostridium histolyticum collagenase (Xiaflex), especially in MCP cords
needle aponeurotomy. For mild contractures (at the MCP > PIP)
surgical resection/fasciectomy.
MCP flexion contractures > 30°
PIP flexion contractures
painful nodules are not an indication for surgery

digital ischemia
skin necrosis
hematoma
infection
